Jessilyn Dolan, RN, CMT, CLD

ACNA Director

Jessilyn Dolan, RN, CMT, CLD, is a cannabis advocate and patient, having had over three dozen oral and maxillofacial surgeries since childhood herself.  Her personal healing journey naturally blossomed into an overwhelming passion and desire to help others find and create their own path to optimal health. Jessilyn is a cultivating caregiver for another nurse in cancer remission.

Jessilyn is Vice President of the American Nurse Association-Vermont and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee where she leads the Vermont nursing charge as the outspoken tireless advocate she is. She is founder of the Vermont Cannabis Nurse Association and established a gifting program for Vermonters in need of medicinal cannabis, as well as working collaboratively with ANA-VT to educate all Vermont medical professionals and patients. She co-founded NurseGrown Organics, Vermont hemp and CBD, after years of research and not being able to find any local products that met the appropriate and in-depth lab testing and formulation standards necessary to ensure consumer safety. NurseGrown is proud to be Vermont’s first Clean Green Certified hemp farm!

Before becoming a nurse, Jessilyn owned and operated her own wellness center as an herbalist, massage therapist, yoga, CPR and HypnoBirthing instructor, energy worker and labor and postpartum doula. She was a professor in the Community College of Vermont’s former massage therapy program, specializing in Craniosacral therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki and Reflexology. Jessilyn co-founded the University of Vermont Medical Center's Volunteer Labor Doula Program, training hundreds of doulas over the years and is a relentless advocate for vulnerable families. She works as a research nurse at UVM's College of Medicine and will soon be published for her first time ‘Breast/chestfeeding and Marijuana Use: Recommendations from the Field Post Marijuana Legalization In Vermont’.
