Whittney Wacker BSN, RN

Whittney Wacker is a dual degree Bachelor of Science in Biology and Nursing who currently serves proudly as a staff RN admin/agent for Leaf411.org. Whittney’s career path has taken her to many interesting and diverse places. Her career began as a field biologist studying turtles and lizards. This experience rewarded her with a publication in the Urban Ecosystems Journal. The next step in Whittney’s journey brought her to Colorado where she learned hands-on from legendary cannabis cultivators. Whittney enjoyed her time as a badged Key employee for the industry but knew something better lies ahead. She enrolled in Nursing school and became a nursing student advocate for cannabis, it was also at this time she became a member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association. Whittney’s clinical experience as an RN didn’t begin with Cannabis Nursing. She took her first job out of school in the Operating room as a Circulating Nurse in General, Orthopedic, Spine and Neurosurgical services and held that position for many years.  She is educated in Cannabis Nursing by courses taken at The Cannabis Medical Institute, Radicle Health, and Healer.com. Her diverse experience, education, unique perspective, and her enthusiastic teaching mindset are just some of the components that power Whittney’s passion. Whittney’s momentum and primary focus is driven by the importance of proper growing techniques, storage, quality assurance via third party testing and how those factors contribute to end product safety and efficacy. She hopes to collectively contribute with other cultivators and Industry Professionals but above all else, looks forward to contributing to the future development of cannabis nursing.
